The Founder and Leader of Ramseyer Prayer and Herbal Centre in Suhum, in the Eastern region, has described church members and other members of the public who have fallen prey to the fraudulent activities of embattled Patricia Oduro Koranteng (aka Nana Agradaa) as unwise born-again Christians who must be punished as well.
According to Rev. Dr. Nana Takyi Asiedu, their punishment will deter others from being deceived by any form of false advertisement and self-promotion in the name of wealth and fame.
In an interview with Ark FM’s Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, Rev. Dr Asiedu stated that Evangelist Patricia was once a fetish priestess who, after her arrest for ‘Sika Gari’, a money-doubling scam, suddenly turned into a born-again Christian with an established church.
He fumed at people who believed Nana Agradaa when she claimed she had GHC 3 billion to disburse in exchange for their hard-earned savings.
He indicated that more genuine men of God are needed in the country to save perishing souls, adding that patronizing the activities of fake servants of God will adversely affect the Christian faith.
Rev. Takyi Asiedu argued that the cumbersome activities of some orthodox churches in extorting money from their members whilst depriving them of financial support are the reason for the loss of confidence by some of their church members, hence their movement into other “one-man” churches.
He stressed that such activities always compel distressed church members to seek refuge from the “one-man” churches, which sometimes lead to scams and other adverse spiritual effects.
Nana Agradaa remains in police custody after court denied her bail on Wednesday.
She was arrested following agitations by some members of the public for not fulfilling her pledge of doubling the monies they had presented to her.
