The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition has extended warm wishes to candidates sitting the West Africa Senior Certificate Examination (WASSCE) starting Monday, July 31st.
While pepping up the candidates, GNECC cautioned against any form of malpractice.
“We wish the candidates the very best and pray for a successful examination. In the meantime, we also caution candidates against any form of examination malpractice and encourage them to rather learn hard to prevent cancellation of their results”, GNECC said in a statement on Friday, July 28, signed by its National Coordinator, Bernice Mpere Gyekye.
Parents were also urged to advise their wards to desist from examination malpractice.
The statement further admonished students to be moderate in their celebrations upon completion of school.
On the conduct of the exams itself, GNECC called on the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) to put in place mechanisms for a smooth exam, including enhanced security and robust monitoring.
Over 400,000 candidates from more than 900 schools are expected to sit for this year’s WASSCE, which will start on 31st July and end in September 2023.
