The Office of the Special Prosecutor has arrested the former Sanitation and Water Resources Minister for suspected corruption and corruption-related offences in respect of sums of money and other valuables allegedly stolen from her house.

In a statement, the OSP disclosed that at 11.55 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023, Madam Cecilia Dapaah “was placed under arrest” and was being questioned by authorized officers from the OSP.

The former has come under intense public bashing following a case she filed in court over the theft of millions of Ghana Cedis by two househleps with the support of three others.

The incident happened at her Abelemkpe home, where she lives with her husband, Mr. Daniel Osei-Kuffour.

On July 22, 2023, she tendered her resignation as a member of the cabinet, which was accepted by President Nana Akufo-Addo on the same day.
