Movement for Change Leader Alan Keyerematen has announced that he has formed an alliance with former CPP presidential candidate Dr. Michael Abu Sakara Foster and other political entities to contest the December 7 elections.

A release on Thursday, signed by Alan Kyerematen himself, noted that Dr. Sakara’s National Interest Movement (NIM) and other political entities have come together to form a grand alliance purposely to eliminate the so-called NPP-NDC political duopoly.

“The Alliance, named ‘Alliance for Revolutionary Change’ (ARC), will aggressively mobilise Ghanaians from across the country, particularly the youth and women, irrespective of their religious, political, and ethnic affiliations, in a grand coalition to elect the first independent candidate as the President of the Republic of Ghana,” the release said.

“The Alliance, when voted into government, will focus on breaking the cycle of poverty and resetting the country on a new path to prosperity. The Alliance seeks to end the dominance of the duopoly of the NPP and NDC in Ghanaian politics, two parties that, after 32 years, have failed to meet the fundamental challenges of development in our beloved country,” it added.

According to the release, ARC, which will be launched on April 17, 2024, would form an “all-inclusive government of national unity” with representation from all political parties and stakeholder groups.
