Agradaa Issued 50k Bail; Faces Prosecution in Other Courts

The leader of Heaven Way Church in Weija, Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has been granted GHC 50,000 bail with three (3) sureties.

According to police sources, the former fetish priestess would, however, remain in police custody because she was serving other charges, including defrauding by false pretense in a different court.

The case has been adjourned to Thursday, November 10, 2022, while she is to report to the police every Wednesday.

She was initially denied bail after her first appearance in court last Thursday.

The controversial self-acclaimed evangeliste was arrested by the police following reports of a money-doubling scam by her followers.

In a recent viral video, she was inviting the public to bring her money to be doubled whilst disguising bundles of Ghana Cedi notes, purportedly to prove her wealth.

The Ghana Charismatic Bishop’s Conference had called for her to be dealt with in line with the laws of the country but not to tie all churches with a regulation.
