Scores of patrons of popular eatery Marwarko Restaurant have complained of food poisoning after eating food from a branch over the weekend.

Viral posts on Twitter and Facebook have accused the restaurant of churning out unwholesome food, causing stomach upsets.

It is unclear whether these accusations are proven, as local food and health authorities are yet to corroborate the reports. Furthermore, it has yet to be determined from which branch(es) of the company the contaminated food is emanating.

The Sikaman Times can report that officials of Marwako restaurant are yet to respond officially to these allegations.

About five years ago, the management of the restaurant was accused by staff of maltreatment and other unfair practices – a case which ended up in court.

More details to follow soon.
