Dream Patriots wishes all aspirants of the 2023 district-level elections the best of luck

The district-level elections are the basis of the Ghana Decentralisation Agenda as outlined in Section 5 [1] [b] of the Local Government Act [Act 462], serving the 216 MMDAs.

The DREAM PATRIOTS wish to extend well wishes to all aspiring Assembly and Unit Committee members going into the 2023 district-level elections today. The Savannah Region and North Gonja District, for that matter, are home to decentralisation, as it has reaped positive dividends from the same in recent years.

The creation of the brand new Savannah Region, the establishment of the North East Gonja District Assembly, the upgrade of East Gonja District to the Municipal Assembly, the upgrade of West Gonja District to the Municipal Assembly, and the hosting of decentralised departments of the S/R by various District Assemblies.

Every citizen of 18 years and older has the right to participate in an election process. Today,  another opportunity has been presented to citizens to choose people who will manage the affairs of their respective electoral areas. On behalf of Dream Patriots, President H.E. Ridwan Afeso Abubakari wishes all aspirants the best of luck and violence-free elections, especially in the Savannah Region and particularly the North Gonja District.

Assembly members play key roles in our community’s development; let’s turn out in our numbers to exercise our rights. Remember, people who don’t vote help choose bad leaders. May Allah guide us through this exercise successfully.
