Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram Sam Nartey George has commented on the death of former MP of his constituency and Minister of State E. T. Mensah.
In a brief statement on Monday, October 2, 2023, Sam George expressed his condolences to the family of his one-time close political contender over their loss.
“On behalf of the National Democratic Congress, Ningo-Prampram Constituency, I wish to extend our profound condolences to the family of the late Honourable Enoch Teye Mensah.
“The late former Member of Parliament, who, until his demise, was a Member of the current Council of State, served our nation in several capacities for over four decades.”
“We pray for a peaceful repose of his soul and strength for the family left behind,” the statement read.
Mr. E. T. Mensah died on Sunday in South Africa, where he had been receiving treatment.
He was also a former Minister of Youth and Sports and a former Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
He died at age 77.
