The Asuoyeboah North fire outbreak in Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region has been the subject of investigations by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
Although the initial cause of the fire has not yet been determined, early research conducted by the GNFS suggests that the deceased’s living room mattress pile may have been the fire’s origin.
In a conversation with the reporter, DOII Peter Addai, the GNFS’s Public Relations Officer for the Ashanti Region, stated that his outfit had not yet finished their investigations but would release the results soon after they are done with investigations.
“I can currently see that police officers are doing their investigations on the ground. We were contacted early on Monday to put out the fire, and we tried our utmost to do so. “
On Monday, September 19,2022, a fire breakout at Asuyeboah claimed the lives of a woman, her two children, and one other person.
In anticipation of an inquiry, their remains have already been placed at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
