Gov’t requests payroll data for employees hired after December 7

The Office of the President has directed all heads of government institutions to provide detailed information on staff additions to their payrolls as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the accuracy and integrity of government payroll records under the John Mahama administration.

In a memo signed by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, institutions are required to submit information on employees added to their payrolls from Saturday, December 7, 2024, onwards. The requested details include:

a. Full Name
b. Designation/Job Title
c. Employee Identification Number (if applicable)
d. Date of Appointment
e. Date Added to Payroll

The deadline for submitting the data is Friday, January 31, 2025, according to the letter.

It added that heads of institutions are encouraged to contact the Chief of Staff’s office for clarification or further assistance, if needed.
