President John Dramani Mahama has reportedly approved a two-year extension for Inspector General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno, following a recommendation from the Police Council.
The extension allows IGP Yohuno to continue leading the Ghana Police Service, ensuring continuity in national security management while sustaining ongoing reforms.
Sources say the move is aimed at consolidating the progress achieved under his leadership and strengthening operational effectiveness.
IGP Yohuno was originally expected to retire in December 2025.
An official announcement is yet to be made by authorities.
More soon.
