Francis Kofi Okesu, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Krachi East in the Oti Region, has been reported dead in a hotel room in Kumasi.
On Sunday, his body was discovered by the police lying naked in bed with his left arm hanging near the mattress.
The deceased MCE’s body has been placed in the morgue of the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for preservation and an autopsy.
The police have announced that they are conducting an investigation into the death of the MCE.
