The Locked-up Investment Holders Forum has reoccupied the premises of the Finance Ministry in Accra in demand for their funds after a 2-week halt.

The break, according to the organisers, was against the backdrop of an expected meeting between the forum and a deputy Finance Minister, Dr. Stephen Amoah.

The group held their last picketing on May 15, 2024, and was scheduled to continue on May 22, 2024, when the organisers, led by former SEC Director-General Adu Anane Antwi, received word that the Deputy Finance Minister had requested to meet with them when he returned from travel on May 27, 2024, hence their decision to picket.

On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, the aggrieved investors converged at the NDK Financial Service and proceeded to the Ministry of Finance to follow up on their payment.

The Locked-up Investment Holders Forum, comprises individual and institutional customers who have invested in Bank of Ghana-licensed financial institutions

The Forum has resolved to picket at the Finance Ministry until November 27, 2024, until their demands are met.
