My Tigers Will Not Harm Anyone – Freedom Jacob Caesar

Famed businessman, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Freedom Jacob Caesar, has told Ghanaians, especially residents of Wanda World Estates inside Ridge, to disregard concerns that his two (2) “7-month” old tigers pose a threat.

Speaking to journalists after some residents complained of poor sanitary conditions, frequent noise-making, and general danger posed by the housing of the tigers in the vicinity, the socialite talked down the fears being harbored by his neighbors.

According to him, he went through all the laid down procedures and processes from the acquisition to the housing of the tigers. “From what I have seen and heard, I don’t think I am putting anyone in danger because the necessary procedures to protect the animals have been done,” he said.

He also stated that the tigers undergo frequent training and proper holistic care to ensure that they are fit.

However, Mr. Bediako admitted that he is working with authorities to move the tigers from his premises to an appropriate location or a zoo when they hit one year, as by that time they would have been a bit dangerous.

Meanwhile, the police service issued a statement on Thursday that they have received complaints from residents on the matter. The statement, signed by Chief Inspector Bright Kwabena Danso of the Greater Accra Regional Public Affairs Unit, said a team of policemen had since been dispatched to the neighbourhood to ensure the safety of residents until the tigers were relocated.

On the contrary, the statement did not confirm when the relocation would be completed.
