The member of parliament for Mion Constituency, Hon. Abdul Aziz Ayaba, said he has proven himself to the good people of Mion Constituency as a responsible member of parliament since 1992, when the National Democratic Congress governed the seat.

Hon. Abdul Aziz Ayaba added that he is the first New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for the area and made a promise in 2019, which is to develop the constituency in a sector.

He further stated that polling stations, electoral area coordinators, delegates, and party faithful are gearing up for round two of the Mion Constituency.

“We can now boast of residents in all the services, that is, police, fire, prisons, immigration, military, and others. I have also connected more communities to the national grid, which is still ongoing,” he reiterated.

The member of parliament indicated that he will continue to be a humble messenger to his people.

The battle is between him and the deputy chief executive of the Forestry Commission, Hon. Musah Iddrisu, on January 27, 2024.

Alhaji Fuseini Original, Chairman of the New Patriotic Party for Mion Constituency, said, He will not stand to see the seat slip from the New Patriotic Party to the National Democratic Congress.

He further stated that they have struggled to win the seat since its creation, and now that they have rescued the seat, he and his executives will have to retain the seat for the New Patriotic Party.
