Dr. Tia Abdul Kabiru Mahama, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Walewale Constituency, made a strong statement of commitment to both his constituency and the future of the NPP by officially filing his parliamentary nomination forms.

The event, held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, was marked by enthusiastic support from party members, local residents, and community leaders.

From the early hours of the morning, a large crowd gathered at the candidate’s residence to show their backing for Dr. Mahama. The streets were alive with energy, as supporters waved party flags, danced, and celebrated, viewing the moment as a sign of renewed hope for the constituency.

Addressing the jubilant supporters after submitting his forms, Dr. Mahama expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming show of support, reaffirming his commitment to serve the people of Walewale. He pledged to be a strong voice for his constituents and a champion for accountability and development.

He also highlighted the achievements of the NPP in the Walewale Constituency under the party’s leadership, emphasising the significant impact of these developmental projects on the lives of the people. Dr. Mahama urged constituents to recognise these efforts and continue their support for the NPP to ensure further progress.

“I urge you to vote for someone who can bring development and lobby for projects to benefit the constituency, and that person is Dr. Tia Abdul Kabiru Mahama,” he reiterated.

He added, “As an agent of development, it is time for me to serve my constituency. I have the people at heart and am ready to bring development closer to them. The NPP is well-positioned to retain the Walewale seat, and I am committed to helping our flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, win this year’s elections.”

Mohammed Muniru Janda, Chairman of the Walewale Constituency NPP, noted that the decision to back Dr. Mahama comes at a time when his developmental initiatives are gaining momentum and the constituency is reaping the benefits of his long-term vision. He described the filing of his nomination as the beginning of a spirited campaign that promises to unite the people of Walewale in pursuit of a shared, progressive future.

Janda also commended Hajia Lariba Abudu for her bold decision to support Dr. Mahama and the NPP’s efforts to uplift the constituency under the leadership of Dr. Bawumia.

Several party faithful also expressed their commitment to campaigning for Dr. Mahama, voicing their confidence in his ability to win the December 7th General Elections.
