The Tamale Circuit Court on July 5,2022, has adjourned the case of one Ziblim Abdul Latif, a National Service Personnel posted at Yendi Senior High School, to July 21, 2022, for impersonation.
Also, the lawyer for the alleged who was supposed to be in court did not show up, apparently due to ill health.
Background
Ziblim Abdul Latif, a National Service personnel posted at Yendi Senior High School, was accused of impersonating the Director General of Education and the Northern Regional Education Director in order to recruit over 80 teaching staff into GES.
The teachers recruited by the alleged impersonator were posted to about 40 basic schools in the Savelugu Municipality, with the majority of the victims being female teachers.
Each recruit allegedly paid GHC 5000 to the accused in exchange for a permanent position in the GES. This was revealed after thorough investigations were carried out by the Human Resource Department of the Northern Regional Office of the Ghana Education Service.
