The National Service Scheme (NSS) says it is recruiting youth without jobs and recent graduates to serve as volunteers for six months.
The NSS states that the decision was made in light of the large number of applications from young people, with the intention of addressing the issue of youth unemployment in the nation.
“The recruitment will focus on various models, including sanitation, teaching, agriculture, health, and other sectors aligned with the Government’s efforts to promote environmental health, cleanliness, and sustainable development,” the NSS stated in a statement announcing the recruitment in Accra on Thursday, July 18.
According to the Scheme it is set to launch an online application system, urging potential candidates to spread awareness and provide necessary guidance throughout the selection process.
“An online application system will be operational soon on the Scheme’s website to facilitate the selection process. We encourage you to spread awareness about this opportunity among potential candidates in your region/district and provide necessary guidance and support throughout the application process,” the statement furthered.
