The Ghana Police Service has arrested NPP Bono regional chairman Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye, for alleged offensive conduct deemed conducive to the breach of the peace.

According to a police statement issued on Monday, September 8, Mr Baffoe was picked up earlier in the day and is currently in custody.

The arrest follows remarks and conduct which investigators say have the potential to disturb public order.

“The Ghana Police Service has today, 08/09/25, arrested Mr Kwame Baffoe, aka Abronye, for offensive conduct conducive to the breach of the peace. He is currently in custody and will be put before court,” the police statement said.

Police officials did not immediately disclose further details about the incident that triggered the arrest.

However, they confirmed that the case will be placed before the law courts in line with due process.

Mr Baffoe, a well-known political figure, has in recent weeks courted public controversy for his outspoken style and commentary.
