President John Dramani Mahama has announced a 19-member cabinet, featuring key ministries such as Finance, Energy, Education, and Interior. The newly constituted team includes 17 men and two women.

Following the announcement, President Mahama convened the first cabinet meeting on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Jubilee House. The session provided an opportunity for ministers to be briefed on key national issues, particularly security and economic policies.
Addressing the press after the meeting, Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, noted that the gathering introduced ministers to their roles and set expectations for governance.
“The meeting was primarily to familiarize ministers with their responsibilities and outline the government’s agenda, with a strong emphasis on national security and economic management,” he stated.
The cabinet is expected to meet regularly to develop policies addressing Ghana’s critical challenges and advancing national development.
