In a decisive move, President John Dramani Mahama has revoked the appointment of Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng as the Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF).

The decision, communicated through an official letter from the Office of the President, takes immediate effect.

Mr. Koranteng has been instructed to hand over his duties to the President’s representative at the Ministry of Finance, Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, who will oversee the operations of the Fund until a new substantive CEO is appointed.

Dr. Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President, expressed the government’s gratitude for Mr. Koranteng’s commitment and contributions during his time in office.

Mr. Koranteng, a seasoned lawyer and corporate and investment banker with over 24 years of professional experience, has served as the CEO of MIIF, Ghana’s sovereign minerals wealth fund, since 2021.
