The NDC has requested a meeting with the Electoral Commission to address discrepancies in the provisional voters’ register currently being exhibited ahead of the 2024 elections.
In a letter to the Electoral Commission dated Tuesday, August 27, 2024, and signed by Fifi Kwetey, General Secretary of the NDC, the party reported that “serious discrepancies” had been found in the provisional voter registry.
In order to resolve the difficulties before today’s voter exhibition exercise ends, the NDC is asking for an “urgent” meeting with the EC.
“The discrepancies emanate from analysis of the Provisional Voter Register (PVR) given to us by the Commission and registers being exhibited at the centres.”
“We anticipate a favourable and timely response as we work towards free, fair, and transparent elections,” read part of the letter.
