RE: Stakeholders in Savannah Region must call MP for Bole-Bamboi to order for backsliding and acerbic attitude towards peace in the region

20th September, 2024.

The Savannah Region NDC has taken notice of a supposed news conference by the NPP bothering on comments made by Hon. Yussif Sulemana, MP for Bole/Bamboi, during our “Enough is Enough” demonstration in Damongo.

We first of all condemn the use of the primitive language and the immature leadership displayed by the NPP Savannah Regional Secretary, and urge all discerning individuals to denounce his behavior, which is unbefitting of a regional secretary. His character treats has fallen below several lines of descency. Unless he’s high on some intoxicant, he need to ballance his concerns with public decency.
We strongly urge him to learn from our smart and intelligent regional secretary, Lawyer Sualisu Be-Awurbi, for lessons on some basic public decency.

The MP’s statement, “John Mahama is a born warrior and can’t be intimidated,” that provoked those loose words from a supposed secretary, what’s wrong with it?

– Aren’t the Electoral Commission’s actions potentially leading to electoral violence?

– Don’t Gonjas have a history of being fearless warriors?

– Isn’t John Mahama’s mother, Nneba, from the Busunu warrior clan?

Now is it wrong for the law maker to once again remind the EC of the roots of John Mahama after all what she’s doing; which are tantamount to beating of war drums.?

The lawmaker for Bole/Bamboi has lived all his life promoting and loving peace and won’t do anything to jeopardise the long-standing peace the region has enjoyed.

The NPP in the Savannah region is the last political party to attempt at seeking intervention from the traditional authorities for redress, after countless instances of disrespects and meddling in chieftaincy disputes in the region, with the recent one being the ban of the Damongo MP, Hon Abu Jinapor from all palaces of the Gonja Kingdom. Have you finished apologizing to the king and his subordinates for the disrespect?

Comparing Hon. Yussif Sulemana to a lame duck like Raphael Kumah Abolasom; parliamentary candidate of the NPP in Bole/Bamboi, is an insult to the constituency and showcases the NPP’s flawed reasoning and thinking.

The NDC has respected the peace and security in the region and has never done anything to undermine same. This can be manifested in our absolute decision to stay away of all chieftaincy disputes, unlike the NPP who has always found neck soaked in the disturbance of our peace in the region.

On the achievements of the NPP and that of John Mahama, the later’s achievements are crystal clear and the only way Issah can appreciate John Mahama achievements in the region is for him to take off his wooden glasses.

We are focused in sharing the party’s superior policies to our electorates and won’t be distracted by such clueless bunch of confused characters in power.
Enough of the insults and disrespect.
