Veteran entertainment analyst and producer Fred Kyei Mensah, popularly known as Freddyma, has commented on last Saturday’s interruption of the live entertainment show on United Television by some “thugs”.
Freddyma was of the view that although the shredding of a letter to the station over an unfair representation on their entertainment programme was condemnable, the action by supposed NPP youth was unnecessary and unprofessional.
Freddyma, who is also an ardent supporter of the NPP, argued that there could have been other means for the party to get their grievances resolved.

If they haven’t gone there…
I am a stakeholder in the creative industry, and at the same time, I love politics devoid of insults and uncouth behaviors. I respect and cherish all entertainment shows in the media space.
A few months ago, Dr. Likee and his team went to the Achimota Mall and misbehaved. We spoke our minds and put him where he belonged.
In 2008, The Creative Arts for Change was formed to espouse the ideas and ideals of the then candidate of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, whose love for the creative industry remains unchanged despite the myriad of problems. The leaders were A Plus, Mark Okraku Mantey (the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture), Socrate Safo, Nana Fredua Agyeman Ofori-Atta, Helen Godschild, me, Bandex, and others.
Since the NPP assumed the reins of power in 2017, A Plus fell off with them, and the majority of his interactions in the media space, especially on Utv United Showbiz, have been negative comments about this government, sometimes with Bulldogod joining the fray.
You may not like his posture and others on the show; however, his unlawful entry into the studio to show him where power lies were despicable, unpleasant, unprofessional, and a dent in the image of the youth of the NPP.
I condemn the act of A Plus tearing a “supposed” letter from the “NPP” to the Utv management live on TV. He could have been circumspect, but who am I? He respects me so much since his music journey started in my studio.
Utv is a private radio station and can invite whoever they choose to be on their United Showbiz, so if the NPP assumes they are not fairly represented, they should call for invitation rather than invasion. What happened last Saturday night with the intrusion of some NPP youth and threats from A Plus should be condemned in no uncertain terms!
If the supposed youth from the NPP hadn’t gone there, couldn’t an amicable solution be found to curb this? The police must investigate this issue and deal with the culprits. Fawas Amasaman, WKHKYD?
I know my reaction on this platform called Facebook on this subject will be limited by some unseen hands, but I care less.
Good beads don’t rattle.
