Celebrated broadcaster, author, and gender advocate, Oheneyere Gifty Anti, has been officially conferred with the Head of State Legacy Award for 2026.

This high-level recognition celebrates her three decades of unwavering commitment to media excellence, women’s empowerment, and social transformation across the African continent.

The award, presented at a state ceremony, acknowledges her significant influence through her flagship program, The Standpoint, and her leadership within the media landscape.

The citation lauded her for using her platform to tackle sensitive social issues, mentor young women, and champion the rights of the vulnerable.

“This honor is a testament to the power of persistence and the importance of telling our own stories.”

“I dedicate this to every girl who has been told her dreams are too big. We are just getting started,” said Oheneyere Gifty Anti.

The Head of State Legacy Award follows her recent inclusion in Africa’s Phenomenal 50 List (IWD 2025 edition) by ICS Africa, further cementing her status as one of the most influential female leaders in modern African history.

Oheneyere Gifty Anti is a multi-award-winning journalist and the CEO of GDA Concepts. Known for her fearless approach to broadcasting and her advocacy for gender equality, she remains a pivotal figure in African media and a role model for aspiring leaders worldwide.
