On Monday, November 25, 2024, Hon. Yahaya Issahaku, affectionately known as Kalusha, made a significant donation to bolster the campaign efforts of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency.

Kalusha, a former Deputy Savannah Regional Youth Organiser and a prominent financier of the NDC in the Savannah Region, donated items valued at thousands of Ghana cedis to support the party’s 2024 election campaign.

The donation was presented during a brief ceremony attended by constituency executives. Receiving the items on behalf of the Member of Parliament and NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency, Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwitey, was the Constituency Vice Chairman, Mr. Mahama Zakaria.

The donated items included 30 cartons of Verna bottled water (480 bottles), a box of solar torchlights (120 pieces), 30 “24-hour economy” branded baseball caps, 201 litres of fuel (worth GHC 3,000), and two laptops.

In a statement, Hon. Kalusha described the gesture as part of his ongoing dedication to supporting the NDC in the Savannah Region, particularly in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency.

He noted that this donation follows an earlier contribution to the Regional Executive Committee during a fundraising dinner with H.E. John Dramani Mahama.

“My unwavering commitment is to ensure victory for H.E. John Dramani Mahama and Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwitey in the December 7 general elections,” he emphasised.

Kalusha further explained that while the items are intended for the constituency’s general operations, the laptops are specifically meant for the Constituency Secretariat and Communication Bureau to enhance administrative and operational efficiency.

Expressing gratitude, Mr. Mahama Zakaria commended Hon. Kalusha for his consistent and impactful contributions, stating that the donation would significantly strengthen the NDC’s campaign efforts in the constituency.

Additionally, on behalf of Hon. Hajia Veronica Ajara Bukari, Hon. Kalusha presented a cheque for GHC 3,000 to Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwitey to further support campaign activities.

The ceremony was attended by key constituency executives, including Abdallah Osman Chaffi (Constituency Secretary), Alhassan Hussein (Zongo Caucus Coordinator), Kipo S. Isaac (Constituency Youth Organiser), Anbon Emmanuel (Constituency Youth Representative), and Yani Moses (Executive Member).
