The Ghana Black Stars are all set to battle it out with their opponent, Portugal, in the first game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup today in Qatar.

This has sparked a lot of excitement among Ghanaians, who are wishing the Black Stars great victories in order to bring the Cup back to our country.

Ahead of their match today, some fans are seen in Ghana’s jerseys predicting the scores of the upcoming game. Among these fans are celebrities, including the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former president, John Dramani Mahama, some Members of Parliament, and media personalities.

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has also gone to Qatar to give his motivation to the team, while the former President, John Dramani Mahama, has also opened the doors of his office to everyone who wishes to watch the Ghana-Portugal match with him.

Meanwhile, the Black Star Players and the technical team enjoyed a walk prior to today’s match in order to relax their nerves and be ready for the match.

Although the starting line-up for the crunch game has yet to be revealed by the handlers of the team, football pundits are confident coach Otto-Addo will feature the likes of Inaki Williams, Thomas Partey, and Mohammed Kudus.

Swiss-based Lawrence Atizigi is expected to start ahead of Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad.

The Black Stars’ match with Portugal kicks off today at 4:00 p.m. at Stadium 974 in Doha.
