Women in tax to host maiden conference

The Society of Women in Taxation (SWIT), a female wing of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (Ghana), is set to host its first ever confab on Tuesday in Accra.

The one-day conference is expected to bring together female tax practitioners and other relevant stakeholders in the world of taxation.

The Special Guest of Honour will be the Chief of Staff, Honourable Akosua Frema Osei-Opare.

It will also feature seasoned speakers, professional tax practitioners, tax administrators, and representatives of key regulatory and professional bodies.

Chairperson for the conference, Esi Duma Sam

The theme for the conference is “Taxing the Informal Sector: The Role of Women.”

Other topics to be discussed include “Emotional Intelligence: First Aid for Women.”

The event will take place on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at the Coconut Grove Hotel in Accra at 9 a.m.
