The Assembly member for Buni Electoral Area in the Jaman North District of the Bono region, Hon. Okyere Bediako Charles, has presented 57 pieces of mathematical sets and pens to the final year students of the two junior high schools in his electoral area (Buni AME Zion and Buni R/C Junior High School) ahead of the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination.

The 2022 BECE officially starts on Monday, October 17.

During the presentation of the items, the assembly member stated that sharing mathematical sets and pens with the final-year students in his electoral area has been his core mandate since his inception as an assembly member to enhance education and improve the competency of the students in his electoral area, adding that mathematical sets are useful in the field of every subject, therefore all candidates need to have one to aid them in their examination.

He indicated that some parents and guidance sometimes find it difficult to buy these items for their wards, hence his decision to support them to enhance their education.

The Assembly Member finally urged the candidates to eschew fear and panic and encouraged them to be courageous and desist from dependence on foreign materials, which he warned could lead to failure in the examination.
