The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of COA Research and Manufacturing Company Limited, Professor Samuel Ato Duncan, has said that due to new properties he has added to COA Mixture (formerly COA FS), the herbal medicine is now fit to be prescribed by qualified medical doctors across Ghana.

According to him, the new COA Mixture has been accepted and approved by the Ministry of Health and has been added to the list of essential drugs by the Ministry.

Professor Duncan disclosed this to journalists during the re-launch of the COA Mixture on Wednesday in Accra.

People with HIV/AIDS, he says, can take COA Mixture not to cure the disease, but to stay fit for the rest of their lives.

Professor Duncan also cautioned people living with HIV and AIDS not to put a hold on their anti-retroviral drugs once they have COA Mixture but rather use the two drugs concurrently as prescribed by a qualified medical professional.

He again explained that patients with all kinds of ailments can take COA Mixture too, but one hour before food.

Furthermore, he cautioned the general public against buying fake and imitated versions of the mixture, adding that he had received multiple calls from across the country with regards to people who claimed to have worked with him before but were no longer with the company and were now producing similar products.

In attendance at the re-launch were the Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, and the Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyeremanten.
