Followers of Apostle Vincent Selorm Max Bani (also known as AVMB) of the Christ Symbolic Union (CSU) and Divinity Empire Campus Ministry (DECAM) have launched chilling accusations against their (former) leader for deception, extortion, and sexual manipulation.
The ministry is typically made up of young students in high schools, colleges, and universities in Ghana.
In a press statement by former executives of the ministry, they recounted how the ministry, which began in June 2013, started in fervency as a dissident of the well-known Scripture Union (SU), shoving off opposition from all angles in name-calling, allegations, among others.
According to the statement, AVMB, also known as an ‘Apostle to the Youth,’ “was a young, charismatic preacher who empathized with our frustrations as teenagers and taught us to direct and focus our energies on the word of God and the work of the ministry.””We embraced his doctrine and emulated his zeal, spreading the message and tentacles of AVMB ministries on various high schools and university campuses across Ghana and in other parts of the world,” it noted further.
AVMB’s former executives revealed that although they had been hearing rumours about his secret dealings, they had had cause to not believe them until a “series of strange occurrences” led to the beginning of investigations. According to them, “the straw that broke the camels’ back was a disappearance act performed by Vinny Max Bani from February 15th to March 14th, 2022,” which AVMB claimed was a transfiguration.
They revealed that after the “disappearing act”, AVMB resigned as a man of God and Apostle, made changes to the leadership of the ministry, and directed that followers recognise him as a businessman and “Emperor” going forward, not the usual man of God.
Further investigation by the former executives revealed that the ministry was not only unregistered but that AVMB siphoned all money from the ministry in offerings, donations, and fundraising campaigns into his personal bank account and used the funds for his personal use.
Following this, according to the former executives, female members of the ministry made dreadful complaints about the diverse sexual escapades they had had with the young “apostle”, who had made them swear an oath of secrecy and threatened them with supernatural punishments should they make any disclosures of their encounters.
The former executive noted that AMVB is presently at large and all efforts to locate him have been futile.
They called for collaboration with any legal body to help them seek redress for the several forms of manipulation and deception that have been handed to them by AVMB, including a refund of USD 200 each, which was recently paid by each member of the ministry for an upcoming camp meeting.
The Sikaman Times can confirm that all efforts to reach Apostle Vinny Max Bani have not been successful. Also, all social media handles for the ministry are inactive. Many supposed followers of the AVMB have corroborated the damning allegations against AVMB on Twitter.
The Sikaman Times will keep readers posted as this story unfolds.
