A member of the 2021 NSMQ squad for Keta SHS, James Lutterodt, has died.

James, who was a student at the University of Ghana until his departure, passed away on Monday, July 3rd, while on admission at an undisclosed hospital in Sakumono in the Greater Accra Region.

Although the cause of his death is unknown, social media users, including friends of the brilliant lad, have alleged that he died of food poisoning. However, this has yet to be confirmed by official sources.

Primetime Limited, the organizers of the National Science and Math Quiz, announced the departure of James in a social media post on Monday.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of James Lutterodt. As a history-making #NSMQ2021 Keta SHTS team member, he made his school and region proud as the first school from the Volta Region at the NSMQ Final. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.”

May his soul rest in peace.
