Ghana’s emerging founders, innovators and startup ecosystem players came together in Accra for the Ghana Youth Tech Summit (GYTS) Founders Mixer, organised by Nova Impact, to build connections, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration within Ghana’s tech ecosystem.
The gathering brought together innovators and ecosystem stakeholders for conversations, networking and knowledge-sharing, with a focus on the realities of building and growing businesses in Ghana’s tech ecosystem.
The event formed part of Nova Impact’s broader efforts to create stronger connections among founders and provide platforms where young tech innovators can access knowledge, networks, partnerships and opportunities that can support the growth of their ventures.
A key highlight of the mixer was an innovation pitch, where emerging founders presented their ventures to a panel. Three finalists were selected to advance and pitch their ventures at the Ghana Youth Tech Summit (GYTS) on November 7, 2026, giving them an opportunity to showcase their innovations to a wider community of investors, industry leaders, partners and young technology enthusiasts.
The event also featured a panel discussion on “From Idea to Influence: How Founders Build Brands, Win Customers & Unlock Opportunities,” bringing practical perspectives on some of the challenges young innovators face as they move from developing an idea to building a sustainable and visible business.
The discussions highlighted the importance of understanding customers, building credible brands, developing strong networks and identifying strategic opportunities that can help startups grow.
For Nova Impact, the mixer is part of a broader effort to build an active founder community through its Startup Studio, creating opportunities for innovators to learn from one another, access support and develop relationships that can translate into partnerships and business opportunities.
Speaking at the event, Celestina Aidoo, Executive Director of Nova Impact, said stronger relationships within the startup ecosystem were essential to helping young businesses grow.
She said founders need more than access to funding, noting that mentorship, market access, partnerships, visibility and peer networks can play an equally important role in the development of early-stage ventures.
The mixer also provided an opportunity for founders to learn more about upcoming Nova Impact programmes and GYTS 2026, while exploring ways to participate in the wider community.
As the selected finalists prepare for the GYTS 2026 pitch, Nova Impact says it will continue creating platforms that connect founders with the people, knowledge and opportunities they need to build sustainable ventures.
The Ghana Youth Tech Summit 2026, scheduled for November 7, 2026, will bring together young innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, technology professionals and other ecosystem stakeholders under the theme “Building What’s Next: Youth Driving Innovation & Inclusive Growth.”
The founders mixer therefore served not only as a networking platform but also as an early pathway into the wider GYTS 2026 ecosystem, giving emerging entrepreneurs an opportunity to build relationships, gain visibility and position their ventures for new opportunities.
