Group Decries Poor State of Bimbilla SHS Dining Hall

The Nanung Youth for Development (NYFD) has complained about the sorry state of the Bimbilla Senior High School, located in the Nanumba District of the Northern Region.

They criticised the “insensitivity” of their member of Parliament, the Honourable Dominic Nitiwul, for being aware of their plight but not doing anything to salvage it.

“Hon Nitiwul should have rather been the person fighting a contractor who does this to his constituents and not be the one doing these insensitive acts towards his own people, especially students of the Bimbilla Senior High School,” they said.

The group told the media that the dining hall project, which was started in 2013 and yet to be completed, was shoddily executed.

“A project that is at its finishing state has its roof already leaking and the ceiling threatening to come down,” the group explained.

The group, by extension, deplored the poor state of the road network in the constituency, the lack of a proper sports field, and the failure of the MP to fulfill his promise of establishing a community centre. They used the opportunity to call on Hon. Nitiwal to fulfill his promises.

According to the group, they are handing their MP a one-month ultimatum to complete the dining hall project, a failure of which will activate their next line of action.
