Former President John Agyekum Kufuor on Friday visited President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama at their residence to convey his condolences and support following the tragic helicopter crash in Adansi Akrofuom that claimed eight lives.

The visit, described as a gesture of solidarity and statesmanship, brought together current and former leaders in a moment of shared grief.

President Mahama, Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang,  First Lady Lordina  Mahama,  and several government officials received Mr. Kufuor and expressed their gratitude for his thoughtfulness during what the President has called one of the most difficult periods of his administration.

Mr. Kufuor’s visit comes as the nation prepares for a series of memorial events and a state funeral to honour the victims, who included senior government officials, party leaders, and members of the Ghana Armed Forces.
