The Ministry of Finance has called on citizens, businesses, and civil society groups to contribute ideas and proposals for the country’s next medium-term budget.

In a public notice issued on Friday, the ministry said it had begun preparing the 2026–2029 Budget Statement and Economic Policy, which is expected to be presented to Parliament by 15 November 2025.

The appeal is aimed at deepening public participation in the budget process and ensuring government policies reflect the needs of the people.

“The Ministry of Finance expresses its appreciation to the Business Associations, Recognised Professional Bodies, Financial Institutions, Civil Society Organisations, Faith-Based Organisations and the general public for your invaluable contributions to the development of the National Budget over the years,” the statement read.

Members of the public are encouraged to submit their inputs electronically to bdru@mofep.gov.gh by close of business on Friday, 29 August 2025.
