Information reaching The Sikaman Times indicates that the Food and Drug Authority (FDA) has moved in to stop operations of the East Legon branch of Marwako Restaurant, following food poisoning reports.
According to our sources, the FDA fetched samples of food from the eatery for further investigations and proceeded to halt their operations.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the restaurant, Mohammed Amin Lamptey confirmed that the company is aware of claims of food poisoning by sections of the public.
Speaking to TV3’s Judith Tandoh, he added that the company was conducting an in-house investigation into the matter.
