President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Ms. Justina Nelson as the acting chief executive officer of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF), in line with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and Section 21(2) of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund Act, 2018 (Act 978).
This comes following the revocation of the appointment of MIIF’s outgoing CEO Edward Koranteng earlier on Monday, 13th January 2025
Ms. Nelson brings a wealth of experience to her new role, with over two decades of expertise in banking and finance. Currently serving as a Group Head at Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited, she oversees the energy and commercial banking sectors, demonstrating her capability in managing complex financial operations.
Her academic credentials are equally impressive. Ms. Nelson holds a Master of Laws in Corporate and Commercial Law and a Master of Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Ghana.
Additionally, she earned a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Management and Psychology from the University of Ghana.
The announcement was made by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, acting spokesperson to the president.
