Mahama submits third batch of ministerial nominations to Parliament; 42 appointed so far

President John Dramani Mahama has submitted the names of his third batch of nominees for ministerial appointments to Parliament, seeking their prior approval to serve as Ministers of State and Regional Ministers.

In a statement from the Presidency, President Mahama emphasized his commitment to assembling a team capable of delivering on his administration’s vision for a progressive and inclusive Ghana.

The nominations span key ministries such as Defence, Health, Labour, and Digital Technology.

Notable names include Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah for the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations; Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Kofi Iddie Adams for the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.

The list also includes seasoned parliamentarians such as Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for Lands and Natural Resources, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak for the Ministry of Interior, and Abdul-Rashid H. Pelpuo for Labour, Jobs, and Employment.

Acting presidential spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has also been named as the Minister of State, Government Communications.

For Regional Ministers, the nominees are Puozuing Charles Lwanga for the Upper West Region, Joseph Addae Akwaboah for the Bono Region, and Francis Owusu Antwi for the Bono East Region.
