“We at HR Focus Africa are fully prepared for HR Tech Playground 2026, which has assumed a national character through this strategic partnership with NITA.”

These were the words of Mr. David Annag, Director of Programmes at L’AINE HR as he joined the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) to officially unveil the National ICT Week celebrations slated for August 17–20, 2026.

Mr. Annag, who led a high-powered delegation from HR Focus Africa, NITA’s HR Technology partner for National ICT Week, lauded NITA for choosing a theme that is both timely and relevant.

“This theme, ‘Innovating at Scale: Creating Opportunities Across Ghana’s Digital Ecosystem,’ aligns with our strategic theme for the year,” he observed, noting that it strongly reflects HR Focus Africa’s strategic vision for 2026.

Outlining the itinerary for HR Tech Playground, Mr. Annag noted that this year’s edition has been creatively curated to give participants an immersive HR Tech experience that goes beyond speeches.

“On Day 2 of National ICT Week, August 18, the HR Tech programme will include keynote speeches, immersive exhibitions, panel sessions, and a career fair, creating a further avenue for people looking for opportunities across Ghana’s digital ecosystem,” he said.

Mr. Annag added that the opportunity to partner with NITA for HR Tech Playground 2026 presents an even bigger and broader platform for the sector to highlight issues affecting the adoption and use of technology in the workplace at the national level.

For his part, NITA Director-General Mr. Nana Yaw Amoah-Yeboah remarked that this year’s National ICT Week is not only for tech enthusiasts, but also for business leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs seeking to broaden their frontier of influence and business.

He noted that this year’s ICT Week celebration is not just an event but a movement to revolutionize innovation in Ghana’s ICT sector, urging industry players to rally around the celebration.

“If we work together, Ghana can become the preferred destination for digital investment, innovation, and technology talent in Africa,” he remarked.
