Popular cook and sell food brand Papaye Fast Foods has opened its 10th and newest branch at East Legon in Accra.

In a speech read on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Dr. Samir Kalmoni, the Managing Director of Papaye Fast Food, Mr. Emmanuel Worlanyo Tetteh, said he was thrilled and grateful for the opening of the latest branch, which is the 10th branch.

According to him, the company has come this far as a result of the grace, passion, dedication, and teamwork of its loyal workers.

Mr. Tetteh revealed that the company, which started with ten workers on a tabletop around Osu, now has a staff strength of approximately 600 and 10 branches dotted across Greater Accra and Tema.

“Today indeed marks our tenth branch opening, and we are proud to be able to host it here at East Legon with all of you present,” he said.

Apart from the newly established East Legon branch, the company has branches in Osu, Lapaz, Awudome, Haatso Frafraha, Tesano/Apenkwa, Weija, Spintex, and Tema.

He said Papaye has reached this milestone through the cooperation of the government, the media, ardent consumers and customers, and its hard-working staff, adding that the company’s mission is not to provide tasty meals but to positively impact society.

“As we embark on this exciting journey, our mission remains firm: to provide not only a delightful and delicious meal experience but also to contribute positively to the community. We are committed to being responsible corporate citizens, supporting local initiatives, and fostering partnerships that benefit us all.”

The MD also noted that it is the policy of their organisation to employ 60% of its workforce from the communities where its branches operate.

While acknowledging the support of the property owner of the branch, Dr. Ernest Ofori-Sarpong of Special Investments, he called on people in and around East Legon to patronise their services.

A representative from the Ghana Tourism Authority said that despite the tough economic situation, Ghanaians who would conveniently want food away from home should consider buying from good companies such as Papaye.

She urged Papaye to aim higher by opening more branches, training more staff, and ensuring that customers are well served.

She said the company has been recognised severally for their style of packaging and the affordability of their meals, attracting wide patronage from Ghanaians.
