The Ghana Police Service has declared Barbara Asantewaa Kodua wanted in connection with an alleged incident of inciting violence.

According to a wanted-person notice issued by the Police, Kodua is a 40-year-old female with a fair complexion who was last seen at the Accra International Airport on August 4, 2022.

The notice, which was shared on the Police Service’s social media platforms, indicates that she is suspected to be hiding in the United Kingdom.

The Police have appealed to members of the public with information about her whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or call the Police emergency line on 0500100010.

The notice identifies the wanted person as Barbara Asantewaa Kodua and lists “inciting violence” as the offence for which she is wanted.

The Police Service has also encouraged the public to share relevant information that could assist in locating her.

The notice does not provide further details about the alleged incident, the circumstances surrounding her last sighting at the airport, or whether any charges have been filed before a court.
Meanwhile, some social media users have accused  authorities of wrongfully arresting and detaining another socialite, Salomey Awiti Bafoh, a professional nurse, after allegedly mistaking her for ‘Ghana Jollof’.

The reported arrest comes amid recent arrests by national security authorities over alleged false publications.
