All is set for the heated intellectual battle in the 2022 edition of the NSMQ Grand Finale, organised by Primetime Limited.

After competitive regional competitions and gruelling one-sixteenth, quarter-final, and semi-final contacts, Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, Prempeh College, and Adisadel College have emerged as the schools to compete for bragging rights at this year’s quiz.

Presec beat Kumasi High School and St. James Seminary School in the semi-finals on Sunday, while Prempeh came out on top in the competition involving Mfantsipim Secondary and Presby SHS Abetifi.

On the other hand, Adisadel emerged victors over Opoku Ware School and St Augustine College in a final before the final encounter.

This will be the fourth consecutive time Presec, who are clamouring for a 7th title, will be going into the final having secured final places in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

The current title holders, Prempeh and Prempeh, will attempt a back-to-back after clincing their 5th record last year.

Presec and Prempeh are eager to shock Adisadel, who has won the competition once.

The programme is scheduled for Wednesday, 26th October 2022 at 2pm at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi.

The National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) aims at promoting the study of the sciences and mathematics, helping students develop quick thinking and a probing and scientific mind about the things around them, while fostering healthy academic rivalry among senior high schools.
