Six ministers are expected to appear before Parliament next week to respond to 53 questions on various sectors as the House begins its business for the second week of November.
The Majority Leader, James Agalga, announced this when he presented the Business Statement for the week ending Friday, November 13, 2026, outlining the planned activities of Parliament.
The ministers expected to appear before the House are those responsible for Education; Energy and Green Transition; Roads and Highways; Health; Works, Housing and Water Resources; and Climate Change.
The Minister of State in charge of Climate Change is also expected to respond to questions from Members of Parliament as part of efforts to obtain explanations and updates on matters within their respective portfolios.
Mr Agalga further indicated that bills may be presented for first reading during the week, while papers and committee reports are expected to be laid before the House for consideration.
He also called on the Ministry of Finance, other ministries and independent constitutional bodies to submit their budget estimates to Parliament on time to facilitate the consideration and approval process.
The timely submission of the estimates is expected to support Parliament’s scrutiny of the proposed allocations and expenditure plans of the various government institutions.
