A soldier with the Ghana Air Force has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a pharmacy shop attendant and a customer at Burma Camp in Accra.
The suspect, identified as Warrant Officer Class One (WO1) Williams Mensah, was picked up by the Military Police after a video emerged showing him physically attacking the victims inside a pharmacy located within the camp.
According to sources, the incident occurred earlier this week following a disagreement between the soldier and the pharmacy attendant. CCTV footage captured the moment WO1 Mensah assaulted both the attendant and a female customer who was present at the time.
Further reports indicate that the woman who was assaulted is the daughter of the former Provost Marshal of the Military Police.
The Military Police have commenced investigations into the incident.
