Ghana’s transport and logistics industry is set to take centre stage as key stakeholders gather for the 4th Transport, Haulage and Road Safety Conference and Exhibition (THROSA CONFEX 2025), scheduled for November 18–19, 2025, at the National Theatre, Accra.

Organised by Maximum Growth Africa (MGA) in collaboration with the Ministries of Transport; Roads and Highways; Energy and Green Transition; Interior; Health; Local Government; Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs; and Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, the two-day event will focus on shaping a safer, greener, and more integrated transport future for Ghana and the subregion.

Held under the theme “Driving the Future Through Sustainable Connections: Integrating Road, Rail, Aviation, Sea and River Transport for Climate Action – A Call to Action by Stakeholders”, the conference will bring together government officials, industry leaders, development partners, and transport operators to deliberate on sustainable mobility, infrastructure financing, technology adoption, and road safety.

Vice President H.E. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang will serve as Guest of Honour, while sector ministers and leading experts are expected to deliver keynote and strategic addresses.

According to the organisers, THROSA CONFEX 2025 seeks to “promote a 15% reduction in road crashes and pedestrian losses annually, foster government–industry partnerships, and showcase innovations driving sustainability in the sector.”

The conference will also sponsor a two-day blood donation campaign to support accident victims and highlight the potential of the Sky Train and river transport systems as critical components of Ghana’s multimodal transport agenda.

“The Sky Train concept presents an effective use of space, reduces congestion, enhances productivity, and encourages a shift from private vehicles to mass transit,” organisers noted, adding that a well-managed river transport system could become “a game-changer in promoting green, safe, and cost-effective mobility across the country.”

Participants will engage in panel discussions, exhibitions, workshops, and training sessions on driver behaviour, vehicle maintenance, and regulatory compliance. Networking sessions will connect government agencies, private operators, and financiers to explore collaborative opportunities.

The event aligns with the government’s Big Push and 24-Hour Economy initiatives, aiming to expand infrastructure investment, stimulate job creation, and improve logistics efficiency. “Every project must start and end on schedule. This is a development mindset—an ecosystem of efficiency,” organisers emphasized.

THROSA CONFEX 2025 is expected to provide a platform for cross-sector dialogue, innovation exchange, and investment promotion—toward achieving the UN target of halving road crashes and fatalities by 2030.

For participation and registration, interested stakeholders may contact info@maximumgrowthafrica.com or franciskwaidoo@gmail.com or reach the event hotline on 0598 226 623.
