The country’s leadership cannot be entrusted into Bawumia’s hands – NDC

The country’s leadership cannot be entrusted into Bawumia’s hands – NDC

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, has stated that the leadership of the country cannot be entrusted into the hands of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Describing the Vice President as a “Judas,”  Fifi Kwetey posited that Dr. Bawumia betrayed President Akufo-Addo by stabbing him in the back and running away from poor policies while taking commendations for the good deeds.

In a meeting with the press yesterday at their headquarters in Adabraka, he argued that the Judas character of Dr. Bawumia proves that he cannot be entrusted with the leadership of Ghana.

“If Dr. Bawumia has shown that he can literally stab Nana Akufo-Addo in the back by way of running away from poor policies while taking credit for the good things done, who else is Dr. Bawumia not able to betray and throw under the bus?”

“If you can betray the man who overlooked other qualified party officials to pick you as an outsider who was not even a party person as a running mate, no one is safe under Bawumia. A Judas cannot be entrusted with the leadership of Ghana.”

Moving on, he opined that Dr. Bawumia takes no responsibility, making him incapable of being the leader of Ghana.

Fifi Kwetey mentioned that Dr. Bawumia is running away from the bad policies of his own government but has not had the humility to apologise to the people of Ghana for those bad policies.

“John Mahama demonstrated a high sense of responsibility; Bawumia demonstrated that he has a massive responsibility deficit. Such a person does not have the character to lead our nation.”

He added that Dr. Bawumia blames the economic woes on either President Akufo-Addo or other external factors like COVID-19, the Russia-Ukraine war, or John Mahama without accountability.

“Do not be surprised if, very soon, he blames COVID-19, the Russia-Ukraine war, and Mahama for the Black Stars catastrophic AFCON performance in Cote  d’Ivoire. Don’t be surprised at all.”

“The failure to take responsibility on the part of Bawumia shows that he does not have the humility to accept when he’s wrong. If you cannot take responsibility for your poor policy decisions, Ghana cannot be safe in your hands,” he noted.
