Azumah Resources Ghana Limited has publicly denied claims that it is involved in the sale of the Black Volta Gold Project, distancing itself from a document circulating in the media which references a purported signing ceremony between the company and Engineers & Planners (E&P).
In a strongly worded statement released Friday, the company disassociated itself from what it called an “invitation to a Facility Agreement Signing Ceremony – E&P Acquisition of the Black Volta Gold Project”, allegedly scheduled for July 7 at the Marriott Hotel in Accra.
“We categorically state that Azumah Resources has neither sold nor is in the process of selling the Black Volta Gold Project, in whole or in part, to any party whatsoever, including Engineers & Planners Company Limited (E&P) or any of its affiliates,” the company said.
Azumah emphasized that neither its Board of Directors nor Executive Management had any knowledge of or connection to the planned event, and stressed that it had not authorized any acquisition agreement or third-party representation on its behalf.
According to the company, the Black Volta Gold Project remains fully under its ownership. Azumah also disclosed that, having secured funding from its shareholders, it has initiated preparatory works ahead of construction activities at the project site.
The company called on the public, stakeholders, and media to disregard the invitation and any associated documents, warning that the material does not reflect its position or intentions.
“Azumah Resources remains focused on delivering the Black Volta Gold Project in line with the highest standards of transparency, professionalism, and national development objectives,” the statement added.
