Choral music great, Yaw Akuamoah Osei-Boateng, popularly referred to as Osei-Boateng of the esrtwhile SDA Jubilee Choir, has died.
He was 70 years old.
News of his passing was reported by his church, the Seventh Day Adventist Church, where he has been a member since childhood.
Osei-Boateng, who is respected for his unique choralistic abilities, passed away at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi on Saturday, April 6th, after a short illness.
He is famed for popular tracks such as “Yesu Ka Wo Ho,” “Gyatabruwa,” and “Yehwe Wo,” which have been performed on many local and international choral platforms.
Until his death, Osei-Boateng has been featured on several choral events as a guest singer and has mentored several choral groups.
He was a teacher by profession.
Meanwhile, many Ghanaians, especially members of the choral fraternity, have taken to social media to mourn the demise of the choral legend.
