President John Dramani Mahama has nominated a new set of deputy ministers to serve in various government ministries, pending parliamentary approval.
The nominations, made in accordance with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the Constitution, have been submitted to Parliament through the Speaker for consideration.
Among the nominees, Thomas Nyarko Ampem has been selected for the Ministry of Finance, while Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi has been nominated for the Ministry of the Interior.
Ernest Brogya Gyenfi is set to serve at the Ministry of Defence, with Clement Abas Apaak taking up the role at the Ministry of Education.
Richard Gyan-Mensah has been chosen for the Ministry of Energy & Green Transition, and Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini has been nominated for the Ministry of Roads & Highways.
Justice Srem-Sai is the nominee for the Ministry of Justice & Attorney General, with Yusif Sulemana named for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
Gizella Tettey-Agbotui has been put forward for the Ministry of Water Resources, while Yussif Issaka Jajah is the nominee for the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts.
At the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, John Kofi Setor Dumelo has been nominated, while Samson Ahi is expected to serve at the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry.
In addition to the deputy ministerial appointments, President Mahama has nominated Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba as Minister of State in charge of Public Sector Reforms.
